Hi, I’m Nikhil Dhokia, a 2nd seat trainee currently on secondment to the Banking department in Linklaters’ Tokyo office.

I studied Law at LSE, and after doing a vacation scheme at Linklaters at the end of my second year in 2005, I accepted a training contract offer with the firm.

Nikhil Dhokia - 1st post

I began life as a trainee lawyer just over 6 months ago, working in the Corporate department for the first of my 4 trainee seats. Despite the global economic downturn, there was little indication of this within my group given the levels of work activity I witnessed around me. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself working on a couple of large M&A deals, which kept me occupied for most of my seat.
