Non-law students
Many people are still surprised that you can train as a lawyer
without a law degree. In fact, almost half of our trainees have
studied something other than law. The Graduate Diploma in Law
(through which we fully sponsor our future trainees) gives you
enough legal knowledge in a year to start your professional
training alongside law graduates. From there on, the training path
and career scope are exactly the same and no one can normally tell
who read law at university and who didn't. Not only is a non-law
degree no obstacle to a legal career, in certain cases it can be a
positive advantage.
Applications for our Christmas vacation scheme will open in
October 2010.
"Not having a law degree certainly hasn't been a hindrance.
In fact, I feel my degree has given me a different set of skills
and a different approach to my work – which I feel can be a great
advantage." Natalie Linton, Associate.
