Vacation Schemes
'A vacation placement with Linklaters is a great way to find out
if you have what it takes to become a world-class lawyer. You'll
benefit from real work experience at the heart of a global law
firm. You'll share an office with a qualified lawyer. You'll work
on real deals and projects. And you'll feel exactly what it's like
to be part of the team.
If you're a law student, you should apply for a Summer vacation scheme. If you're not studying
law, you should apply for the two-week Christmas vacation scheme, although we do make a
few places available on the Summer vacation scheme for
penultimate-year non-law students who can't attend at Christmas
because of local differences in the academic calendar.
We also run a Christmas clerkship for
Australian students and June internships for Indian students
who are interested in applying for training contacts in the UK.
Both of these schemes are held in London.
If you would like to read the views of student who has already
done a scheme, take a look at the profile of Victoria
Marshall. Her experiences are very recent. She and the other
vacation scheme students are now back at university and
haven't necessarily decided to join Linklaters. Of course, reading
about the scheme is never the same as actually doing one. Whichever
scheme you decide to do, we can guarantee you a stimulating and
valuable experience.'
