Online Applications Form and Watson Glaser Test.

We read the entirety of your application form before we decide whether to  invite you to take the Watson Glaser test so getting it right is critical.  We have to differentiate between thousands of applicants each year so it’s worth taking the time on your form to make sure that you stand out from the crowd.

  • Think about what sets you apart from other applicants. This is your chance to sell yourself, so use a range of examples from both inside and out of university to highlight your skills and achievements.
  • Be clear in your own mind why you want to join the firm and become a commercial lawyer. What is it that really interests you about the work we do?
  • You’re applying to a commercial law firm so we will expect you to know about the world of business and the issues that affect the firm and its clients. Identify one or two key business or legal news stories that interest you and follow them for at least a few weeks before the interviews, so you can talk quite broadly about the main issues.
  • Attention to detail is a key skill for a lawyer and this starts with your application, so check thoroughly for grammar and spelling errors.
