We are always looking to attract exceptional people at the earliest possible stage so last year we launched our new ‘Pathfinder’ programme. This two-day insight programme is a unique opportunity for first year law undergraduates studying at UK universities to gain a real insight into a career in a global law firm, whilst also equipping you with the skills and guidance needed to take the next step and apply for vacation schemes.
The scheme is designed to introduce our culture and work, and you will have the opportunity to hear about the firm’s direction and latest strategy. On your first day you will get to attend a range of workshops to develop your team-working and networking skills, plus your commercial thinking. After an overview of the recruitment process, complete with hints and tips, from the Graduate Recruitment Team, you will be able to get to know your Pathfinder colleagues on a more informal basis at an evening social event.
The second day is centred around micro-shadowing sessions, where you will sit with a trainee and observe their work and life in a leading commercial law firm. These sessions will prove invaluable as you decide whether a career in law is right for you. You will also receive a personal impact master class. This workshop will equip you with all the necessary skills to be able to stand out from the crowd, crucial for your penultimate year at university and applying for vacation schemes.
