The Linklaters Law & Business SchoolOur approach is truly unique. The Linklaters Law & Business School is an entirely new framework for career-long continuous professional development. We have integrated business skills and technical knowledge in one holistic syllabus that gives people the mix of expertise they need to thrive in a changing world. Now we can guarantee that our lawyers will, at every stage of their career, receive the same high-quality learning experience, wherever they work.
Our ambition is to create an integrated learning structure that has currency and credibility on a global stage, inside and beyond Linklaters. It's the result of detailed consultation with clients as well as colleagues and, uniquely, it is led by a dedicated global advisory board of business leaders and academics. We also design and deliver the syllabus in partnership with institutions ranging from the College of Law to the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris), and Harvard Law School.
We will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to operate as a trusted business partner rather than a mere technical adviser. We will also give you the tools to manage your professional growth and achieve your own career objectives. There are milestone programmes for every stage of development from new-lawyer orientation to partner induction; the syllabus is consistent in quality, content and delivery across the world.
Each practice has specific training designed to suit your needs which will include a mixture of formal training courses, eLearning, on the job supervision and the feedback you receive every day.
| Trainees | As well as the support you receive through your Training Contract you will undertake the New Lawyer Global Orientation Programme and a range of other sessions designed to improve your technical skills. You'll also have a chance to network with colleagues from around the world to begin building your very own network internally. |
| Associates | The Associate Practice Diploma Programme includes a range of global and local courses over a period of four years. In additional, you'll be invited to attend milestone skills programmes, run in conjunction with your international colleagues. |
| Managing Associates | The MA diploma combines formal training and on the job supervision by partners. By this stage you are expected to contribute to the education of more junior lawyers and they join or progress through the firm. |
| Partners | Development continues at partner level with sessions to hone leadership skills and pitch winning capabilities, alongside other skillsets. |
Alongside all formal training the firm offers a wide range of varied courses plus an invaluable coaching and mentoring programme.
